About This Site

The Assessment and Planning Web site was designed using Dreamweaver. The first step in the process of the design was to make an outline of the content of the site. Once the outline was completed, a few sketches were drawn. After a review of the sketches, a design was chosen and then adapted for the Internet. Adobe Photoshop was used for most of the graphic design. Once the graphics were completed, the design was produced in Dreamweaver.

The newsletters and other communication forms in the Publications section were formed using Adobe Acrobat. Adobe Acrobat creates .pdf files which are read by the Adobe Acrobat Reader. To obtain a free copy of Acrobat Reader visit http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. The documents tend to be rather large files, approximately one and a half megabytes, taking a long time to download through a modem connection. The publications were developed for staff members and it was assumed that UCF staff would view these files from their computers at the university.

In the future, reports from our recently completed surveys will be posted on this web site. The possibility of completing surveys online is another feature which is under consideration.
